Human-Side AI Adoption Strategy

You build the solution.
I make sure people use it.

Adoption strategy for AI and technology consultancies whose clients need more than a successful go-live.

Your team can deliver the platform, the integration and the training plan. What decides the outcome is whether sponsors keep reinforcing the change, whether managers can answer their teams' questions, and whether people stop reaching for the old spreadsheet.

I diagnose the human conditions behind adoption and hand you the strategy that closes the gap. Alongside your team, or quietly under your brand.

Fifteen years inside enterprise transformation, including work connected with:

The Problem

The call nobody wants.

The system works. The client says it isn't working.

You delivered on scope. Six months later, nobody is using it. The platform is live. The training was completed. And now the sponsor is asking where the return went, while half the team quietly runs the old spreadsheet next to the new screen. The technology is rarely the reason. The organization was never prepared to work differently, and the partner who built the solution is the one holding the blame.

What usually went wrong

Sponsors announced the change once, then went quiet.

Managers were asked to carry a transition nobody prepared them for.

People were trained on features instead of on how their day changes.

Fear about AI and job security was never named out loud, so it went underground.

Nobody owned adoption after the launch date.

Every one of those failures is predictable. Which means every one of them is preventable. That is the work.

Services and Outcomes.

How we work together.

Three ways to add adoption strategy to your engagement. Fixed scope. Defined deliverables. Available directly, collaboratively, or white-labeled under your brand.

Not sure which engagement fits? Before your next proposal, run the free AI Adoption Risk Check. Ten minutes, and you will know where the human-side risk sits on your current engagement.

Before Your Next Proposal

The AI Adoption Risk Check

Is your client ready to use it, or only ready to launch it?

A short diagnostic for consultants, technology firms and implementation teams. Answer it in ten minutes and you will know where the human-side risk sits on your current engagement: sponsor alignment, employee trust, role and workflow clarity, communication, manager support, training, resistance and who owns adoption after launch.

You get your risk profile back, along with the two or three things worth addressing first.

The Method

A zipper has two sides, and it only works when both move forward together.

Two sides of a change program moving together

The Zipper Change Approach.

Two sides. One successful adoption.

One side is the technology: the platform, the data, the integrations, the governance, the deployment. The other side is the people: leadership, trust, role clarity, confidence, and the behavior that has to change. Pull one side ahead of the other and nothing closes.

How the Zipper Approach works

Phase 01Assess
I find what will help or block adoption. Sponsor alignment, employee fear, role and workflow impact, capability gaps, and the champions and strengths the organization already has. Findings become a prioritized roadmap rather than a diagnosis.
Phase 02Activate
The roadmap becomes a sequenced rollout plan with owners and timing, written so your delivery team can run it: leadership alignment, manager enablement, targeted communication, role-based enablement, champion activation and resistance response.
Phase 03Sustain
Adoption is designed to outlast the launch date. Reinforcement, measurement and course correction are planned in from the start rather than improvised after go-live.

Two connected sides. One successful adoption.

Why We're Different.

Why partners bring me in.

Adoption expertise on your team, without the headcount.

Working alongside a delivery team

I have sat on the delivery side.

I came up through project and program delivery before change management, so readiness gets built into the plan rather than bolted on after the decisions are already made.

Your client relationship stays yours.

I do not solicit your accounts. Communication and decision protocols are agreed before I start, and I can work entirely under your brand.

No template change plan.

Standard playbooks get applied to every client and are customized to them. A plant floor, a finance team and a procurement group need different strategies that still add up to one rollout.

Strategy that names the actions.

Every engagement ends with a sequence, owners and timing. Not a report that gets read once and filed.

Why This Exists

Technology and people have to move forward together.

I spent fifteen years watching organizations invest heavily in a system and treat the people expected to use it as a communications task at the end of the plan. The pattern never changed. The technology worked. The training happened. And the morning after go-live, people went back to what they knew.

That gap is not a training problem and it is not a communications problem. It is an adoption problem, and it can be designed for. AI has only made it more urgent, because AI changes how people make decisions, how they work, and what they believe their role is worth.

A solution can work exactly as designed and still fail to deliver value.

The real test of transformation is what people do differently after the project team leaves.

Stat Band

From a recent enterprise rollout — the numbers behind the case study below.

0

Manufacturing facilities taken live

0

Users prepared for a new way of working

0

Business functions carried across

0

Improvement in employee attitudes toward adoption

Go-live is a project milestone. Adoption is the business outcome.

Proof

Three plants. Three thousand people. One new way of working.

Case Study

Global manufacturer, SAP rollout across three facilities

A global manufacturer moved off legacy systems onto SAP across three manufacturing facilities, touching more than 200 business functions and roughly 3,000 users. Leadership understood early that technical deployment alone would not decide the outcome.

The work

+

Stakeholder analysis and change impact assessment across all three sites.

+

Organizational readiness assessments and sponsorship alignment.

+

A communications and champion structure that gave the rollout local voices.

+

Role-based training, hands-on workshops, process guides, job aids and nine learning videos.

+

A phased go-live with structured hypercare support at each facility.

All three facilities went live. More than 200 business functions were carried into the new environment, a virtual learning portal was left behind for ongoing knowledge transfer, and positive employee attitudes toward SAP adoption improved by 10.5 percent across the implementation, measured through workforce readiness and adoption surveys.

Technology transformations succeed when people, process and technology are addressed together.

About

About Rita Conerton.

Fifteen years between the project plan and the people.

I am an enterprise transformation and adoption strategist based in Atlanta, working with consulting partners across the United States. My background runs from marketing and strategic communications into project and program delivery, and then into organizational change on enterprise programs across manufacturing, supply chain, energy, healthcare, mining, financial services and technology.

That combination is the point. I understand what a delivery team is carrying, and I understand what a plant supervisor is afraid of. I have led change on SAP and MES implementations, supply chain modernization, cloud and digital programs, and initiatives reaching more than 3,500 employees across global operations, working with executives, technical teams, plant leadership and frontline employees.

My credentials include PMP, CCMP and PMI-CPMAI, an AI consultant certification, a certified marketing consultant designation, an MBA from Georgia State University and a BBA from Mercer University.

I founded ZIPPER Change Consultancy to do one thing well: give consulting partners the adoption strategy that turns a technically sound build into a client success they can point to.

Let's Talk

Make adoption part of the solution.

I partner with AI consultants, technology firms and boutique consultancies that want stronger client outcomes without adding permanent overhead. If you have a proposal in progress, a rollout underway, or a client whose people are not moving, that is the conversation.
